Deluxe Knowledge Exchange Expo

Every year, Deluxe looks to us to help them find new ways to engage their audience – an invited group of clients from around the country – with interactive experiences that are tied to each year’s event theme. Although sometimes it may look like fun and entertainment, the events profiled below are really all about engagement -- connecting your people to their work and to each other, and having some well-deserved fun in the process!

Drum Cafe

Objective:

Surprise the audience with an interactive experience that demonstrates the value of nonverbal leadership.

Plan / Execution:

Wake up the group of bankers with The Drum Café – an amazing group of performers who pull the audience into the act, providing a solid lesson on group dynamics, leadership and team work. This presentation was followed-up, the next day, by an on-stage discussion with the leader of The Drum Café, who was able to reinforce and build on the key messages in surprising and engaging manner.

Results:

This audience, made up primarily of bankers, quickly put aside their inhibitions and got caught up in the musicality of the presentation, which helped to open their minds to the subsequent ideas raised at the meeting.

Kevin Kling

Objective:

Kick off an Expo themed around "story-telling" with a performance that would immediately astonish and connect with the audience.

Plan / Execution:

Eschewing the traditional opening video, we brought in Kevin to kick off the day with an opening story that set the framework for the event while simultaneously delighting the audience.

Results:

Kevin appeared several times throughout that year’s Expo, earning a standing ovation for his final performance.

Joe Calloway

Objective:

Bring an outside perspective to the event, providing someone who could ask the questions that the audience would not or could not ask.

Plan / Execution:

Business speaker Joe Calloway became the voice of the audience, conducting on-stage interviews with company executives and other presenters. He also provided some key business messages of his own, hosted interactive exercises with the audience and conducted video interviews as well.

Results:

Joe has been a part of this event since its inception six years ago!
