You won't want to miss Martin Bastian's next Speaker Series Event in February 2009! More info coming soon. Find out more»
September 30, 2008
Venue: MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis
For this event, we presented a songwriter's circle, not unlike the In the Round songwriter shows, which originated at Nashville's Bluebird Cafe; At this event, musical artists swapped stories, shared songs, and added harmonies to each other's songs.
The songwriters told stories about their songs: the ideas behind them, how they got cut, how they found success. The show included songs, stories, harmonies and humor. All the writers we presented at this event have had hit songs on the charts and performed many of those hits, in addition to songs that may not have been recorded yet.
The songwriters we presented at this event were: Michael Johnson, Jon Vezner, and Sally Barris

Ross Shafer
With the success of his book, Nobody Moved Your Cheese!, Ross Shafer has been called "America's Accountability Watchdog." From miserable pet shop manager to six-time Emmy Award-winning comedian and writer, his approach to self-motivation is hilarious. Ross hosted several network talk & game shows including The Late Show, Days End, The New Match Game and Almost Live.
Joe Malarkey
You may already be familiar with Joe's highly successful and hilarious program, Choose To Lose, which has been a corporate hit for the last several years. We're very pleased to present the premiere of a brand-new show with the same entertainment value from The Worst Motivational Speaker in America: The Unforgivable Customer Experience.
Joe once again demonstrates that nothing has more impact than a bad example, guaranteeing that audiences will never view the customer or the process the same way again.
